Payment and Orders

  • a. What payment options do you offer?

    Credit card orders are processed securely by Stripe. We accept payments via Visa, Mastercard and AMEX.

  • b. How often do you restock?

    Check the product description to see if your object of choice can be back ordered, a good number of our items are one of a kind. We are constantly restocking but encourage you to drop us a line at orders@inordinary.in if you are interested in a particular item.

  • c. How can I order an item listed as Out of Stock/Sold Out ?

    A ‘Sold Out' listing implies that the object in question was unique and will not be restocked. For ‘Sold Out’ objects, please drop us a line and we will check with the maker and see if it’s possible to make something similar.

  • d. How can I place a bulk order?

    For bulk or special orders please write to us at orders@inordinary.in.

  • e. I have made a big order. Will my entire order be delivered together?

    We typically courier a large consignment altogether. In some cases, however, we might need to ship parts of your order separately. We will mail you to update you about the status of your delivery along with the tracking number(s) for your order when it leaves our premises.

  • f. The estimated delivery date for my orders was yesterday. Why hasn’t my order been delivered yet?

    Bad weather, high packet volume, traffic, accidents or other unforeseen circumstances can sometimes cause courier service delays. International shipments can occasionally take longer than expected – goods can be held up in customs or there can be delays during the handover from one country to another. Note that the ongoing global pandemic is also likely to cause delays. We encourage you to track your package on our logistical partner’s website online using the tracking number you had been emailed when the item left our premises. Contact us at orders@inordinary.in if your package has not been scanned by the courier for more than 72 hours and we will investigate for you.

  • g. My order was lost in transit. What should I do?

    We track all shipments to ensure that orders arrive safely and securely with our clients. However, on the rare occasion an order does go missing, our insurance cover will allow you to make a claim. A refund in full or a replacement will be sent once the prescribed time, as stated by the relevant shipping company in their terms, has elapsed.

  • h. My order was damaged in transit. What should I do?

    In case the delivery appears damaged, we ask you to receive with reservation. Please take photos and report immediately to us at orders@inordinary.in

  • a. Is it possible to customize your products?

    We provide customization services only for large orders.

  • b. Why does the product I have been delivered look different from the picture on the site?

    InOrdinary takes great care with its product photography to make sure that we are providing you with pictures that accurately and fairly represent the products we sell. However, due to the handmade nature of pieces, and inconsistencies in how different computer screens reproduce colours, unfortunately we cannot guarantee that the product you receive will look exactly the same as you see on your computer screen

  • c. I ordered multiple quantities of the same product. Why do they all look different from each other?

    Being handmade, slight variations in size, weight, capacity, dimension and colour are common to all our products. This is what makes each of them unique. This is also why it is unlikely that every piece from a batch of our products will look exactly alike.

  • d. Do you offer a guarantee for your products?

    We do not offer a guarantee for our products. We however guarantee the quality of the materials and techniques used to make them, as well as the ethical means by which they are acquired from our maker collaborators and offered to our customers. Our selection of items for the store is always based on our focus on things that are built to last, adapt to changing times and endure shifts in their natural surroundings. Each of our objects are also put through stringent quality checks before being shipped. Always check and follow the care instructions provided in the product description to ensure their longevity.

Packaging, Shipping and Delivery

  • a. Where do you ship?

    We ship worldwide.

  • b. How long will an order take to reach me?

    We typically ship our in-stock items within 3 working days of the order date. If you pre-ordered an item, do check the estimated production time stated on the cart page. Shipping partners can take about 4-7 working days to deliver post dispatch. We will intimate you of your tracking details via email.

  • c. Do you charge for shipping and packing?

    We do not charge for packing. Shipping is calculated at checkout.

    Domestic

    Orders under 10 KG for within India are shipped at a flat rate of INR 450. Free Shipping on orders over 10 KGS

    International

    Shipping cost of international orders depends on region and the total weight and volume of items ordered. Costs for orders will be calculated according to current rates of our logistical partners and displayed before you confirm payment. Please note that an order of multiple units will cause your shipping rate to increase.

    Kindly provide physical addresses, InOrdinary does not deliver to a PO Box.

    Please note that if your item is to be delivered to areas outside of a major city centre, or is held for custom clearance procedures (in case of international shipping), there may be delays beyond original delivery estimates provided.

  • d. What sort of packaging do you use? Do you offer gift wrapping?

    Given that a majority of our items are fragile, we take great care in packing our items securely. We use a combination of earth-friendly, plastic free packaging material, including honeycomb sheets, water activated tape, paper bubble wrap.

Gifting

  • a. Do you offer personalized gifting services?

    If you would like your purchase to be delivered gift wrapped select the ‘Gift’ tab on your order cart. We will brown craft paper and can also add a handwritten note on a deckle edged writing paper with a marbled paper envelope. Leave what you would like to say in the ‘Add Note’ section on the cart page.

  • b. Do you offer coupons?

    We offer coupons and promo codes every other month. Sign up for our newsletter to be notified about these!

Terms and conditions

Prices

We reserve the right to amend prices on the site at any time. From time to time, despite our endeavor to maintain accurate and correct pricing on the website, there may be mistakes. If there is a mistake, you will be notified via email before the product is dispatched to you.

Payment

Purchases made through this site are secured through Stripe, Inc. All personal and credit card information transmitted are handled by Stripe’s secure connection. All personal contact information transmitted to us will not be shared, sold or solicited. We do not store your debit/card information.

Product Quality

Product(s) may vary slightly from their pictures. The images of the product(s) on our Website and marketing materials are for illustrative purposes only. Although we have made every effort to display the colours accurately, we cannot guarantee that the images accurately reflect the colour of the product(s). Your product(s) may vary slightly from these images. Although we have made every effort to be as accurate as possible, because our product(s) are handmade, all sizes, weights, capacities, dimensions and measurements are indicative only.

Order

Your order will be confirmed via email once payment is confirmed. We try to process your orders within 3 working days of receiving your request, if the item is in stock. Occasionally items may be oversold. All backorder items will ship as soon as we receive them.

Delivery

The freight rates can vary according to the number of products in your cart and the volumetric weight of the products. For the specific price for your order, please go to check out and select your delivery country. Please note that the costs of delivery will be added to the total you are required to pay us for the product(s).

We do not deliver to PO boxes.

We are not responsible for delays outside our control. If our supply of the product(s) is delayed by an event outside our control then we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know and we will take steps to minimise the effect of the delay.

If you do not re-arrange delivery. If you do not collect the product(s) from us as arranged or if, after a failed delivery to you, you do not re-arrange delivery or collect them from a delivery depot, or as otherwise specified by the delivery company, we will contact you for further instructions and may charge you for storage costs and any further delivery costs. If, despite our reasonable efforts, we are unable to contact you or re-arrange delivery or collection we may end the contract.

Custom Duties and Taxes

Title for merchandise shipped internationally will pass to you upon our delivery to our shipping partner. When ordering from InOrdinary, you are considered the “importer of record” and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods. Depending on the destination you may have to pay additional taxes or import duties. InOrdinary will not be held responsible for any additional taxes or duties incurred by your country. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; so contact your local customs office for more information. The refusal of payment of such fees will cause a full cancellation of the order. A restocking fee of EUR 40, transportation cost and custom clearance cost associated with a cancellation will be deducted from the amount refunded to you.

Returns and exchanges

We do not accept returns. Items cannot be exchanged.

Damages

If the outer packaging of your delivery seems damaged do not accept it. If you find the contents of your package damaged get in touch with us at orders@inordinary.in as soon as possible. Attach images of the damaged piece with your mail.
