The Rustic Papier Bowl resembles a clayware piece, with its incongruous texture and a form that cannot be replicated, rendering it unique. It is, however, made of Papier Mache, a popular material in India as it makes objects strong but also light weight.

Handmade and minimal, without any ornamentation or motifs, it rests on a ring-like base. The Papier Mache craft is present in several pockets of culture across India and has been carried across regions by nomadic tribes and migrants from Persia and even Central Asia.

While the Rustic Papier Bowl is also traditionally used to hold grains, it can also serve as a fruit dish.
